Arnegui Gran Reserva 2013
Arnegui Gran Reserva 2013
Grapes for the 2013 Arnegui Gran Reserva were carefully selected from the oldest vineyards in La Rioja Alta, and the resulting red wine is a testament to their excellence. Subtle hints of toasted wood and cocoa lure the senses in this dark Gran Reserva. Notes of sweet spices entwine with light traces of menthol as its fragrant complexity develops.
The elaborate manufacturing process contributes to its magnificent quality. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are fermented alcoholicly in compact stainless steel tanks, which produces a deeper color and more complex aroma. In addition, the color is locked in and the tannins extracted during a 12-day maceration with the skins.
The final step in the wine's development is malolactic fermentation, after which it spends 24 months in American oak barrels and another 36 months in the bottle before being released for consumption.
