San Roman Tinto de Toro Red 2018

San Roman Tinto de Toro 2018 a Spanish Tempranillo Wine from Castilla y Leon. A big and bold Spanish red wine that is made from a very old style of Tempranillo Grape (Tinto de Toro), which is much richer and heavier than the usual Tempranillo variety. 

The wine itself is heavily layered and intricate, with hints of licorice, spices, and rich black fruit, and a strong mineral presence. It is a perfect example of a contrast between a strong body and a light, crisp acidity. It's very tannic in nature, and the ripe and sweet tannins complement the black fruit flavors perfectly.

There's a very subtle, yet noticeable age flavor which blends smoothly into the wine's taste. Pairs extremely well with beef and aged cheese.
