Also, there are intriguing smells of fresh bay leaf, lavender and Turkish Delight. The palate is intensely fresh, with macerated blueberry and red fruits, followed by juicy blackberries, delicious strawberries, tart raspberries, and underlying hints of freshly muddled herbs. There is also some significant tannin as well as strong dark cocoa dominating a long and persistent finish.
